UNTAMED FLORAL PARTNERS WITH THIRD CLIFF BAKERY FOR MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND!
If you haven’t had a chance to check out Third Cliff Bakery, go and do it immediately! This amazing local JP bakery offers an array of baked goods that ranges from nostalgic childhood favorites like chocolate brownies and Rice Krispies treats, to out-of-this-world flavor combinations like the kimchi-cheddar croissant. And this is barely scratching the surface of what Meg and Natalie Crowley and their team are offering up at Third Cliff!
We had so much fun during our collaboration over Valentine’s weekend back in February, that we decided to do another Untamed Floral shop-in-shop for Mother’s Day weekend. And for a 2nd time, we had a blast combining our love of baked goods and flowers and bringing all the joy we could offer to our amazing Jamaica Plain community!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE IN OUR JAMAICA PLAIN COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!

UNTAMED FLORAL JOINS WITH THIRD CLIFF BAKERY FOR A SPECIAL VALENTINE’S WEEKEND COLLABORATION
First of all, let’s talk about Third Cliff Bakery and how amazing this bakery is! This family/women-run business got it’s start as a traveling bakery using it’s now signature trike “Rosie” as a means for selling their delectable pastries. Then in October 2020 they opened their brick & mortar shop in JP (lucky us)! Located on the corner of Washington and McBride Streets in Jamaica Plain, this amazing eatery almost always boasts a long line of eager fans.
Meg and Natalie (the sister duo behind Third Cliff), and I decided that flowers and baked goods were a natural pair and thought we might try this out for the Valentine’s holiday.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our local businesses!

UNTAMED FLORAL TEAMS UP WITH LITZ BROWN OF BROWN STONEWARE BY LITZ FOR A CUSTOM COLLECTION OF HANDMADE VASES!
MEET THE ARTIST!
Litz Brown has been living in the Boston area for the past 18 years. She settled down in Somerville, MA because it felt vibrant, funky, and creative; and she has stayed in Somerville because it turned out to be vibrant, funky and creative!
Shortly after arriving in Somerville, Litz stumbled into the Mudflat Store in Porter Square and saw a brochure for the Mudflat School. She signed up right on the spot and has been throwing pots (making, not breaking) with Mudflat ever since! Even now, Litz continues to be affiliated with Mudflat and finds the community of artists deep and inspiring.
CHOOSING A MEDIUM…
Brown stoneware is Litz’s medium of choice because she loves the way the iron in the clay comes alive in the firing process.
“I am a climber and I believe that my love of rocks and grit is somehow intimately related to my choice of the gritty brown stoneware that I choose for my ceramics.”
CELEBRATING FORM & FUNCTION…
The vases that Litz created for the collaboration with Untamed Floral Deisgn are a celebration of the holistic relationship between daily life and how we interact with the natural world around us.
“I make functional ceramic pieces that celebrate “form and function” and the domestic everyday life we live. For me, the way a mug touches my lips is a chance to explore the boundaries of myself and the material world: where I begin, where the mug ends and how those perceptions change over time. The mundane nature of functional pieces speaks of our need to enter the world through the domestic, kitchen, the home. It is those objects that we rarely think about, and often take for granted, that afford a renewable joy in their everyday use.”
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Litz’s favorite flowers are:
Roses, Sweet Peas, Forget-Me-Nots, Black-Eyed Susan and Pansies.
